Note: Just like his mind, Kakashi´s memories are slightly scrambled. If you get confused, read the description.
Chapter 2: Fleeting Memories
Soft mumbling voices reached Kakashi´s ears as the darkness in his head allowed him more space to ascertain his own thoughts. Yet he felt himself drifting not able to think clearly, the voices around him muffled, their words passing through his head like the calming, constant stream of a river.
As the muttering around him subsided, delicate hands came to rest on his bare chest and forehead. His body flinched at the sudden contact before relaxing itself to the provided warmth. He didn´t

“Ha… Ha…” Kakashi brought out between pants. Exhaustion flooded every fibre of his being as he tried to hold his weight steady on the ground with his trembling arms. Even through the blood still rushing loudly through his veins he could hear the gasps and pants of his companions that were scattered behind him. Sakura, Naruto as

The Modern Tragedy of Life (Prologue)
Dear Diary,
I actually hadn´t had a better idea how to address this piece of paper, or rather small notebook, nor did I know how to start writing to begin with. Well, here I am, sitting at my old, wooden desk with the small desk lamp spending enough light in the middle of the night to help me getting these words in my mind into this booklet.
Paper is patient, they say. I guess that is true, because you could simply write down the biggest bullshit without anyone caring (unless they read this, of course). The paper, though, just listens, absorbing everything without questioning, assaulting or commenting. It does not judge, like many peopl

The rooms and walls of the Survey Corps headquarters are used to see soldiers running around and listen to yelled orders. Most people who stopped by any headquarter of the military, whether it was this one from the Survey Corps or one from the Military Police or Garrison, saw always the same image: Preparations of any kind. But the soldiers of the Survey Corps don´t only know this kind of hustle in the courtyard of their headquarters. They also know a second o

Mirror, mirror on the wallWho´s the fairest of them all?
Everyone knows the feeling when your heart is just like a knot in your chest. No matter what you do, it just gets tighter, leaving nearly no room to breathe properly. Hunger is something that seems like a part of a different life just like happiness and sunshine. Everything is just dull and dark. No reason to cherish. Just pain and sadness, that makes your heart only heavier in your chest.
I blink and my eyebrows raise in question, the reflection in the mirror mimicking everything. Soon my nose crinkles in confusion as one of the songs that accompanied me the past weeks reaches my

Chapter 2: The wolf, the fox and in between the cat
The bunks of the Trainee Corps were mostly abandoned, all the new trainees standing in rank and file on the dry and dusty training ground, the sun shining hot and unforgiving down on them. Keith was walking among them for their initiation ritual, which made most of them sweat even more. Everyone had to go through this torture, just like [Name] had to with her fellow trainees three years ago, though she had counted to the lucky ones Keith hadn´t said anything to. Her intense glare had al

Chapter 1: You fight for freedom, you say?
Mike Zacharius patiently listened to his squad member´s explanations with his hands folded behind his back and his usual unreadable, blank expression, his grey eyes glancing straight ahead as they both slowly walked down a hallway. The sunlight fell onto them and the stone floor, creating golden stripes. Mike´s head though mostly remained in the dark due to his tallness.
Their footsteps resonated in the air, being the only sounds within the HQ apart from their breaths and the voice of the soldier. Shouting of orders r

Prologue: An uncommon request
Shouting of orders filled the air like smoke: At one step it sounded loud and close, almost ringing in the ears, at the next step it seemed as if it was muffled, a wall standing in between them. Everyone was busy, as they always were; every soldier following up their chores or whatever else they had to do right now. In the m

“But it´s sooo cute!” Hanji exclaimed gleefully, her eyes sparkling, cheeks rosy in delight.
It was already past dinner time in the Survey Corps HQ, the torches on the walls giving a warm, flickering light to each room and hallway. The dining hall was at this time abandoned apart from those higher ups who tended to eat late. One of those was the Commander Erwin Smith.
His hair neatly slicked back as usual he was reading some papers he was holding in his left hand. All the while he was sipping his coffee, brows slightly furrowed and his expression thoughtful. The plate

Seeing through your eyes (Levi x Reader)
‘Home’ was a term that the young soldier [Name] used to connect with a certain place, a certain building. The small cottage with the flowers to each side of the path that led to it and with all the trees around it, the mountains in the distance. With the beautiful sunsets that made everything look like as if it was on fire.
It was the place she had grown up and lived with her parents for decades. And even after she had joined the military to follow her dream of freedom, she still came back here.
It was where she belonged to. Where she felt this certain feeling. Of coming back down to earth after everything she suffered through in

Kiss it all better (Mike x Reader)
“What is the worst part of being a soldier?”
This here. Right now, Mike mused as the smell of blood reached his nose. Blood of someone… Someone…
Squeezing his eyes shut he tried to block out the thoughts. And the images that came with it.
This here was the worst part.
It was absolutely silent around him. There was nothing, not even the rustling of the leaves of the trees above him. The creaking of the wood. No birds or other animals.
Just this suffocating silence. And his heartbeat that was pounding in his ears. His breath that created small, white fogs right in front of him in the autumn air before disappearing aga
